Resumo
The Bildungsroman is a narrative sub-genre that aided the novel in becoming
hegemonic in relation to other genres. For this situation to occur, the
Kunstleroman, that is, the novel narrating the artists growth, had a important
role to play. These two modalities wil be discussed from a theoretical perspective.
Exemples from Infância by Graciliano Ramos, O apanhador no campo de centeio
by Salinger, and La tia Julia y el escribidor byMario Vargas Llosa will be given
regarding the structure.
