Resumo
ln this article I try to show that in the philosophy of the first Descartes there is a growing development of the notion of science that began with the preoccupation of constructing an admirable science, and has its center in the search of a universal model of it with exoteric tendencies. Such development, however, will acquire a more defini te outline in the Discourse of Method.
