Resumo
Not only mathematical models have been used to validate hypotheses made
from experimental data, but also to develop new materials. In Chemical process
technology the product quality is determined at the micro and nano level. A product
with a desired property must be investigated by molecular modeling methods
for both structure and function. Polymers, catalysis and nanomaterial science
researchers have been using theoretical methodologies based on quantum theory
to develop state-of-the-art technologies.
