Resumo
It analyzes the form of bibliographic classification and the adaptations adopted in the university libraries of Goiânia and Anápolis. The research is descriptive with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The data collection was done with the application of a questionnaire to the librarians of the units that compose the scope of the research, by sending an online form. The analysis was made observing the reality of the two cities and making a comparison between the two. The results indicate that it is not all the units that perform adaptation, but the ones that do make thinking about the best way to retrieve the information, thus facilitating the user's time. It is concluded that although not all the units that make adaptation, those that do, try to improve the grouping of subjects, aiming at the feasibility of locating subjects to facilitate for the users
