Resumo
The study analyses the information literacy of library science course graduates from the Universidade Federal de Goiás in 2014, based on the training received. To analyze the competence of professionals evaluated the research used as a parameter in common phases of the main models of information literacy. Through qualitative and quantitative approach, the descriptive study used a questionnaire with open and closed questions, which was sent by email to the graduates of 2014 years of librarianship, obtaining return of 50% of selected public. With these data it was revealed that about 31% of UFG-2014 graduates working in the area, against 46% who reported not practicing any activity related to their area of expertise and 23% said that work in other areas. We conclude, based on the answers that these professionals demonstrate good understanding of the concept of competence, in presenting a general framework, adequate information literacy. Still, they explain to difficulties related to the assimilation and understanding of information sources and their classification; the seizure and expression of ideas of a text in own words; and assessing the reliability of resources and informational sources.
