Resumo
This study investigated the performance of the photochemical process in the treatment of the orange textile dye 2GL 50. A volume of 2.0 L of solution containing 50 mgL-1 of the reactive dye was treated in a photochemical reactor used UV/H2O2 a 400 W lamp. Within 30 minutes already observed discoloration of the solution in the order of 99.7%, and reduction of the organic matter of 50.0%. The color reduction, for the process in study, was compared to a defined standard by the literature, demonstrating that they reached results were in established levels for disposal.
