Resumo
The paper presents four major ideological conceptions of myth and performs its critical in order to show the need for an approach to the conceptualization and myth. The views of Mircea Eliade, Claude Lévi-Strauss, Ernst Cassirer and Maurice Godelier is presented and subsequently are analyzed critically. A common problem in these approaches lies in the formalism and the creation of models that deviate from the historical and social reality, which is where we can see the determination and characteristics of myth.
