Resumo

The objective of this research is to verify the relationship between digital marketing and the field of Librarianship. This work was done via student participation in the Librarianship course and the project ‘Biblio em Foco’ at Universidade Federal de Goiás. After gathering the bibliographic data using a basic exploratory survey with a qualitative and quantitative approach, it was found that students consider themselves able to work with digital marketing through the acquisition of skills developed in the project. Additionally, these students considered the course classes relevant to digital marketing and, to a large extent, participated in the project in order to broaden their role as a librarian. It was concluded that through the relationship provided by the course, students were affected in a positive way by reinventing traditional Librarianship and expanding the boundaries of future professional librarians in the professional field. With that said, it is necessary to determine further activities that can further develop these students’ abilities.
