Resumo
The technology planning methods are one of the solutions to key issues related to
innovation process, as the implementation of open innovation strategy and the
technology roadmapping, TRM. Some of these methods provide a systematic
approach to technology planning, however they have neglected the adoption of
partnerships and open innovation. The current work fills this gap including the
partnership in technology planning as an important guideline. However, these
theories usually do not present procedures or directions about how to identify and
plan these partnerships. This paper presents a systematic approach to identify and
plan the partnership in technology planning. From a literature review perspective and
action research, a specific procedure was developed for the adoption of partners in
technology planning, considering different types of partners, as well as the objectives
of the partnerships in the innovation process in accordance with the necessary
resources: whether for market, technological or financial purposes. The results show
that the procedure is useful not only for the organization under study, but also to
support distinct innovation planning initiatives.
