Resumo
This article seeks to discuss Brazilian social, epistemic and cultural
diversity and the role of the teacher-researcher in the teaching of History in
Brazilian schools. To that end, I develop a discussion based on the author’s
years of experience as a history teacher in basic education, and also through
notes on current indigenous education. I will also present how indigenous
knowledge has changed my perspective on the research and teaching of
History and my conception of teacher-researcher.
