Resumo
The culture and history of the northeastern of Brazil are show much importants on the media and the popular memorie, inside the poetry. Nevertheless each veihcle of comunication works with differents ways the similar subjects, due the imaginarys. Therefore, the goal of this work is realize the imaginary in the representation of the northeastern of Brazil through of two different visions: a poet born and living in the sertão and media discourse. or this, a bibliographical revision was made with the main authors of the media, popular and imaginary poetry, such as Durand, Patativa do Assaré and Charaudeau. Such study may perceive some similarities and differences between the samples analyzed. However, the diurnal caracter and the myth of the hero prevails in the mythical roots of the speeches seen.
