Biópsia do vilo corial: aspectos clínicos e laboratoriais

Resumo

OBJECTIVES: To identify the indications that lead pregnant women who sought Fértile Clinic for chorionic villus sampling, check the results of fetal karyotype and set the positive predictive value of the test in screening for fetal aneuploidy. METHODS: A retrospective study of medical records of women undergoing chorionic villus sampling in the Fértile Clinic from January 2013 to October 2014. RESULTS: Most of the information was due to check the US increased nuchal translucency (NT). However, we identified 11 normal karyotypes with increased NT. Diagnosed with the T21, half was female karyotype and the other half male. Regarding the T18, five were female and four male karyotype. The others were identified as T21 (23 %), T18 (20 %), Turner syndrome (2 %) and inversion of chromosome 9 (2 %). CONCLUSION: the main indication for the examination was increased nuchal translucency. Regarding the changes found, the T21 was the one with the highest prevalence (23 %), followed by T18 (20 %). The positive predictive value of the test was 51 %.
