Prevalência de mioma uterino em ultrassonografia transvaginal

Resumo

Objective: to establish the prevalence of uterine fibroids on transvaginal ultrasound. Methods: we evaluated the records of 200 patients aged between 20 and 60 years in the period from February to May 2012 in a private clinic in Goiânia, with respect to age, race, and multiparity. Results: 62.5% of the patients’ age varied from 20 to 35 years, 46.5% were multiparous II – IV and 67.5% were white. The prevalence of uterine fibroids on transvaginal ultrasonography was 13%. Conclusion: the prevalence of uterine fibroids on transvaginal ultrasonography was 13%.
