Resumo

A hell imagined by Vilém Flusser, where demons do not have an entrancs ticke, but designers do is presented in this article To do this, the relationship between design and an apocalyptic trend pointed by the author as a condition coming frof modern popular obsession because of the scope of a pretended progress, is presented initially. In a second stage, upon the understanding that designers build bridges between techniquc and art, the state of the paths that design builds as far as projectual activity is concerned, between such hell and a purgatory known as social reality are presented. Finally, by way of conclusio, Flusser´s contributions to think a design that, beyond producingsobjects, images and places, also can be a design that mocks responsibly the naturalized constructions and beliefs on what it means to design are analyzed.
