Teste imunocromatográfico de fluxo lateral: uma ferramenta rápida de diagnóstico

Resumo

The lateral flow immunoassay, also called rapid test, has been a tool used for the diagnosis of a wide range of biological targets. Due to its characteristics, this platform is easily adapted to use in many different fields and does not require major technological resources or prior technical knowledge, allowing the qualitative and, in some cases, quantitative tracking of samples. There are different types of commercially available testing. The choice of the test format is related to the intended purpose, such as the diagnosis of antigens or antibodies, or other chemistry and biological samples. Therefore, this work aims at a comprehensive review of the different components of immunochromatographic tests, their advantages and disadvantages, applicability to the diagnosis of veterinary and human-interest diseases, and the detection of residues and contaminants in animal products.
