Resumo

This article intends to understand how the discourse of Jogo Aberto, a TV program of Bandeirantes Network, addressed and discussed situations related to homoaffective attitudes between athletes of football teams Palmeiras and Corinthians in 2013, the preceding year of Brazil World Cup, when the debate about football themes was in evidence. Thereto, it has been applied Critical Discourse Analysis based on analytical dispositives presented by Dijk (2015), which allowed identifying narrative constructions of the program. that contributed to the propagation of prejudices and stereotypes about homosexual based on the study of the structure of the discursive surface and social context of the interlocutors of the program, basically formed by ex-athletes. It has been identified that the sports media could also be responsible for the propagation of prejudices and hostile gestures against homosexuals, besides applying analytical devices of reservations used to show positive aspects about the program participants and negative ones about homosexuals.
