The main focus of this article is the spokeswoman Ana Braga Maria, who conducts the television show Mais Você, shown Mondays to Fridays in Rede Globo de Televisão. The analysis involves the history of feminine magazines and television shows in Brazilian TV, the essence of the show and the representations it suggests, and particularly the one adopted by the host Ana Braga Maria, who is developed from the persona of the new mid-life woman.
