Resumo
This work proposes the analysis of freedom of expression confronted with the right
to privacy and what are the possible consequences and application of civil liability in
publications by users of social networks. There is an explanation about the Civil Marco of the
internet in Brazil and an explanation of crimes against honor and harmful conduct of improper
disclosure on the internet, with the analysis of the effects of civil liability for improper
disclosure on the internet, conceptualizing it, presenting its history , assumptions (conduct
and causal link), excluding and aggravating factors. A case study was carried out on the
Facebook group “A Corrida do Ouro” in the City of Goiás, presenting its appearance, analysis
of judicial decisions related to the group's themes and applied to some of its members.
