Resumo
The aims of this article are to investigate whether environmental, institutional,
structural and seasonal factors have an impact on the energy interruption time in the
State of Goiás and if there are differences between these impacts in the Metropolitan
Region of Goiânia (REMG) and in the interior of the state. For that, we used the multiple
regression analysis, by decomposition of Oaxaca (1973). The main results suggest that the
factors investigated impact the quality of electricity, also pointing out significant
differences between the duration of interruptions in the interior and in the REMG, being
smaller in this group.
