Resumo

The study aimed to carry out a comparative analysis on the perception of technicians responsible for libraries and third year high school students about the teaching-learning process between a high school that has a library with a librarian and another that does not have the same structure. The literature review points out the characteristics of information literacy, information skills and the role of the librarian as an educational agent. The subjects of the research were the students of the 3rd year of high school and those responsible for the libraries. The research has an exploratory character, using questionnaires for all participants and unstructured interviews with librarians and technical managers, being the research of a qualitative nature. Through the data, the importance of the presence of a well-structured school library and a librarian as mediators and providers of information, space and guidelines about research is demonstrated. It also points out the importance of the librarian's insertion in the pedagogical elaboration and the mix of available materials and the subjects worked in the classroom.
