Resumo
The purpose of this work is to systematically investigate the objectives of legal documents
Curricular Document for Goiânia (DC Goiânia - EAJA), Literacy at EAJA: pedagogical guidelines
for 1st and 2nd grades, Guiding Conceptions of Work Pedagogical and Continuing Education
Policy for Professionals of the Municipal Secretariat of Education and Sport in Goiânia. It is a
documentary and bibliographic research and the documents are problematized through the
theoretical assumptions of Paulo Freire. During the carrying out the research, the political
nature of the documents, their proposals for comprehensive training, awareness-raising and
emancipatory literacy, in view of the project of education proposed by SME in Goiânia. In the
analysis of the historicity of the documents, highlighted the struggles and conquests of the
EJA in that city, the actions of the SME in partnership with Federal University of Goiás (UFG)
to legitimize this teaching modality in the scenario local since 1960. Furthermore, his
commitment to the formulation and reformulation of of the political-pedagogical proposals,
which were the starting point of the constitutive process of current legal documents and how
their principles are linked in certain aspects with popular education.
