Resumo

The points approached in the text are the classification of the Páno languages in family, their languages, Páno ethnies. It also deals with the question of Páno gatherings being referred as groups or peoples, considering their structure, but understanding that they can have a preference for one or the other. Another point developed is the need for investing in the valuation of these languages and in their self-esteem. One of these ways would be producing with them didactic material to make them available intheir schools. It presents a framework in which there are 31 Páno groups distributed in Brazil, Peru and Bolivia. The discussions are finalized reaffirming the need for research and more collaboration for the Páno groups for the maintenance of their languages so that there can be more security in the classification of these languages in families.
