Resumo
his article is an analysis of the professional profile from Portuguese Sign-Language Translators and Interpreters graduate courses’ professors from Brazil’s southernregion. This is a quantitative and qualitative research that aimed to investigate theprofessional profile from data collected in the Lattes Platform. This research is justified for believing that the professor's profile can influence the course curriculum development as well as teaching. As a result, this study found: (i) graduate: great diversity with degrees from different areas; (ii) post-graduate: predominance of the Letters, Linguistics and Arts areas;(iii) complementary education: Libras area; (iv) professional experience: teaching, especiallyin the Libras area. As a conclusion this study confirms that most of the professors did not demonstrate in their curriculum the experience as TILSP, nor with translation and interpretation didactics.
