Resumo

This study aims to analyze the formation of the librarian to work in educational settings, from the creation of three specialization programs in school library in occurrence in Brazil. To this end, initiatives were presented specialized courses that are occurring in the country to complement the training of librarians to act as an educator and was identified projects in the disciplines and the contents that are being offered to complement the training of librarians to work in school libraries, and identify elements considered essential, such as workload, conductor axes / themes, target audience, objectives, professional profile, methodology and team work, the three specialization courses selected were analyzed in the light of “Model of the School Library as a Dynamic Agent of Learning”, Todd and Kuhlthau (2004), showed the importance of disciplines of Education for the training of librarians educator, as one professional who can implement programs of information literacy in schools. The theoretical approaches presented information literacy, school libraries as dynamic agents of learning and professional librarian as infoeducador. This research is classified as documentary and descriptive qualitative approach. It was observed that the specialization courses in Brazilian school library offer interdisciplinary training and proffer disciplines and content covering the areas of Librarianship and Education, enabling graduates have clarity about their teaching practices in educational settings. We conclude that the specialization courses in school library analyzed Brazilians offer subsidies required for librarians to act as infoeducadores and develop information literacy programs in educational settings.
