Resumo
This study discusses the emergence of the open access movement in scientific information, its main supporters, ideals, as well as the main tools for their promotion, from the use of digital repositories and the use of publishing systems of scientific journals. Introduces practices of digital preservation in the national and international literature in order to identify the Federal University of Goiás actions on this subject, intending to create an digital curation plan that includes the preservation of produced, stored and disseminated digital objects within this University. Presents as a conclusion the fact that digital preservation initiatives adopted at the Federal University of Goiás, although significant importance towards this goal, still constitute incipient and consequently insufficient to ensure the preservation of digital informational contingent of technical and scientific interest of their community academic . It is necessary to implement actions with broad approach, covering technical, organizational, cultural, financial and social issues. At the end of the study presents a proposal for digital curation as macro action plan for implementation of the information management with digital preservation as a basic guideline in the context of UFG.
