Resumo
This study concerns the perception of librarians Goiania on bibliotherapy. The existing concepts are studied and their origin in various sources of information, since the subject is little known. Data collection occurs through the questionnaire with open, closed and multiple choices. The sample consists of librarians working in libraries in Goiânia, school, university, public and specialized. The objective of the research is to have broader understanding of their perception of bibliotherapy. The survey results show that most librarians know Goiania bibliotherapy and are interested in working with the subject, however they don’t have experience in the field, that maybe impede the implementation of the practice in the city. Although bibliotherapy be known superficially, can constitute new work of librarians. For this, the Brazilian Universities of librarianship need to join in the curriculum subjects that deal with the issue so that librarians can become precursors of new attitudes, favoring that reading helps people to have more knowledge about the world and about themselves
