Resumo
Through analysis of the films Thelma and Louise (1991) and the Antichrist (2009), seeks to apreciates the representation of female characters in these two plots. For that is used as a theorical bases the authors Laura Mulvey and Ann Kaplan, who shows an important feminist critique cinema. From the texts of two authors seeking a reinterpretation is made convergent and divergent features in the films analyzed in relation to analysis and discussions proposed by the authors in their texts. Thus it identifies and discusses the patriarchal gaze present in two films in an attempt to understand how it is manifested in this works. It also pointed to, the recognition of progress in female characters, like the possibility of complaint to customs that repress and exclude women, present in both films. Thus, from the perspective of the texts of Mulvey and Kaplan a study is made about the representation of women in Thelma and Louise and Antichrist, revealing strengths and problems arising from such reproduction.
