Resumo

E-Book Readers are an emerging technology that symbolize a revolution in the publication and distribution of literature. This experimental design proposed for this work is the production of a fashion, art, and culture magazine made exclusively for digital media viewers. The goal is to create a product that could be read by all devices that support the EPUB document format, and make a magazine that makes the transition from print to digital format. Although digital versions of print journals are common today in the form of Apple apps, it is difficult to find native electronic publications in a generic EPUB format viewable to all readers. Because of this market void, and the opportunity to develop a new product delivery process the project theme was selected. Given the globalized nature of this magazine, and the fact that e-Book readers are much more popular in English speaking countries, this publication was written in English. Writing in English opens the magazine to the largest market of readers, compared to any other language, including Portuguese. The final editing of this project was comprehensive, with 83 pages and content ranging from new trends, new talent, news, fashion and editorial shoots, and female interest (exclusive content identification with women). It is inferred that the magazine has the required quality and potential to enter the market, but it does not exhaustively explore all the capabilities of the iPad. To do this would require another version of the magazine, made exclusively the iPad, ignoring all other eReader products on the market. To conclude, this magazine will offer readers a new literary concept – a fashion, culture, and art magazine designed specifically for electronic reading and viewing.
