Resumo
This research analyzes law librarian professional profile considering their duties and new responsibilities, highlighting their role in Goiânia and Brasília public institutions It analyzes law librarians profile after society changes resulting from advances in telecommunications’ and also information and communication technologies’ areas. Related issues to the professional profile study are treated, such as: law library and information literacy. The objectives of the research were to identify librarians’ training, their skills, competencies, activities and performance at work. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach that used the survey technique. It was applied a questionnaire with fifty (50) law librarians respondents from the Judiciary and the Legislature branches and also from Justice Essential Courts. The main results point to a dynamic performance using new information resources for an effective service to users in this field.
