Resumo
This study arose from experiences in the theatrical field through different stakes in
introductory courses in the training of actors and technical in Dramatic Art. By
observing the processes and theories who discuss the job of the actor, it was noted
divergences between pedagogical procedures and techniques used by different directors
about the treatment of the body gestuality of the actor. This study aimed to identify and
understand the possible links between cultural and biological, between education body
and gestuality in the training of the actor. In developing the study sought to present the
fundamental elements related body preparation of the actor, identifying knowledge
about the biological body scientifically consolidated in Physical Education that may
provide support for the training of the actor and body culture. In theater elements as
corporeality, gestuality and scenic language are the most important mediators also in the
training of actor. The method of study focused in the bibliographical research where it
sought to establish links between cultural and biological seeking to identify theoretical
and methodological aspects involved in the two fields of knowledge (the theatrical and
Physical Education). The treatment of cataloged information was addressed through
studies and qualitative analyzes of critical nature in order to allow the explanations from
a perspective of critical theatre. It can be stated that the final results of the study allowed
broaden the understanding on the subject of training and, including, raise new questions
as to conception of body in contemporary dramaturgy, their relationship with the scenic
expressiveness and training processes of actors within certain conceptual perspectives
present in the theater world as well, to understand what could be the contribution area
Physical Education in this training.
