Resumo

In 2009, was implemented in the Faculty of Physical Education, from the Federal University of Goiás (FPF/UFG) the degree course in Physical Education in the distance mode. Along with this event, we also observed several questions about the quality of this course, especially by presenting various disciplines with practical knowledge. So, our research sought to investigate the quality of process of teaching and learning through the Moodle platform and classroom meetings. In this way, we sought to identify the benefits and difficulties that this modality offers students of Distance Education (DE), we ascertained the opinion of the Academic Advisors regarding academic distance education and also the understanding acquired by the students through the subjects already taught. Therefore, we analyzed and compared the Political Pedagogical Project (PPP) of the distance course and classroom course and also we applied a questionnaire to 22 Academic Advisors and 107 Students of the distance course of FPE / UFG. The questionnaires contained open and closed questions, in which we investigated the reasons that led scholars to opt for distance education, their opinion about the academic learning through platform Moodle and classroom meetings, the amount of teaching time, the involvement of research participants in the teaching / learning process and we raised the main positive and negative points of the course. Although the results point to the need to rethink some methodologies such as the use of some virtual tools and changes in the dynamics of classroom meetings, the degree course in Physical Education the distance from FPE / UFG provides, to academics, sufficient knowledge to form good professionals for the school field.
