Resumo
This experiment was carried out to
evaluate the effects of the combination of three levels of metabolizable energy (2.700, 2.850
and 3.000kcal/kg) and two levels of methionine (0.45% and 50%) in rations for Japanese
quails during the laying period. The results of the experiment did not show any statistically
significant difference for the productive factors. Only for 0.50% methionine level, the
values of average egg weight were higher and feed conversion rates were lower (both dozen
eggs and egg mass) when compared to 0.45% methionine rations.
