Resumo

The research presented here refers to Dissertation (Master in Teaching in Basic Education) - Postgraduate Program in Teaching in Basic Education, Center for Teaching and Research Applied to Basic Education, Federal University of Goiás, GO, (CEPAE) entitled - Sexuality as a taboo subject and the challenges of teaching work in the early years of elementary school. The educational product elaborated through the research brought the same title as the dissertation - Sexuality as a taboo theme and the challenges of teaching work in the early years of elementary school. Thus, the investigation starts from the observation of issues related to sexuality, in the early years of elementary school. It was developed from the perspective of contributing to classroom practices in Basic Education, based on the understanding that sexuality is a construction that involves historical and cultural factors, and that its manifestations, in daily life, need to be understood by the main social bases, that is, for the family and the school, as it is an aspect inherent to the set of essential characteristics of the human being. This is a case study, anchored in bibliographic research, with a focus on addressing the theme by the latter, understood as a training and systematizing institution of knowledge, but also responsible for promoting human development, in multiple aspects. The research was carried out at the Municipal School Maria Gomes da Silva, of the Municipal Education Network (RME) of Aparecida de Goiânia, involving teachers from the morning period and students from the 5th year of elementary school. In the methodological path of the investigation, aiming at a qualitative approach, there were moments of discussions, reflections and analyzes of situations in which issues related to sexuality were highlighted, from the reading of texts and the appreciation of videos, with the mediation of the researcher, in two groups: one made up of teachers and the other made up of students. For data collection, a voice recorder was used to record the moments, which were transcribed, and a questionnaire applied to the teachers. The theoretical contribution brings together studies by the following authors: Aquino (1997), Bernardi (1985), Bobbio (1998), Bortoni - Ricardo (2008), Brandão (2004), Brazil (1998; 2018), Perrault (2004), Durkheim ( 2011), Figueiró (2009), Freire (1996), Freud (2006), Gallo (2006), Hilsdorf (2015), Holland (1995), Louro (1997; 2000), Ludke, M .; André (2017), Ribeiro (2010), Foucault (1988), Chauí (1985), Stearns (2010), among others. For the problematization of situations experienced at school, highlighted during discussions with students and teachers, and for the analysis and reflections on the data presented, the national curriculum parameters were also taken as references: third and fourth cycles: transversal themes (1998) and the videos “Minha Vida de João” and “Once Upon a Time Another Maria” (YouTube). As an Educational Product, a printed book was prepared, consisting of the record of the discussions that took place in the meetings with the subjects involved in the field research. It is hoped, with this Product, that other educators will also reflect on the importance and the need to address the issue of sexuality, in the first phase of Elementary Education, either as curricular content or cross-cutting theme, or as a recurring subject in everyday life educational and cannot be ignored by the school, in its formative role.
