This study investigates the natural and cultural assets of the city of Uruaçu, Goiás, Brazil, in order to document and understand the ways in which expressions of the local cultural landscape are constituted and how they contribute to the formation of local memory, identity, and cultural practices. Drawing upon a situated and sentipensante (feeling-thinking) ethnographic perspective, the research explores the affective bonds established between individuals and the landscapes of the Festa do Caju, the harvesting of the cajuzinho do Cerrado, and the Serra da Mesa Lake. The study seeks to understand the challenges and impacts arising from processes of transformation and adaptation over time. In dialogue with authors such as Jean-Marc Besse, Néstor García Canclini, and Eric Hobsbawm, the research aims to highlight the cultural landscape as a historical and dynamic construction, strongly constituted by affective bonds and transformative processes such as cultural hybridization, through which memory, identity, and local cultural practices are continuously produced and resignified.

The dissertation titled The Performative Voice of Vicente Celestino: Between Sound and Meaning in the Radio Era through the Lens of Paul Zumthor is a study that explores the vocal performance of Vicente Celestino within the context of Brazil’s Radio Era. The main objectives of the research are: to analyze the expressiveness of Celestino’s voice as an aesthetic and symbolic instance of sensitive communication; and to investigate how his performative action can be understood in light of the concept of vocality from Zumthor’s (2007) perspective. The theoretical framework is based on the works of Paul Zumthor (1993, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2014), as well as Miller (2023), Queiroz (1976), Sadie (1994), Schechner (2006), Silva (2013), Sinek (1955), and Mariz (2016). It is a documentary research grounded in Zumthor’s studies on orality, performance, and vocal presence, articulated with reflections on radio culture and the materiality of the voice. The methodological approach is hermeneutic and aesthetic—that is, an interpretative and reflective examination of the sonic performance—taking into account Celestino’s recordings, song lyrics, and public reception, in light of the categories of vocality and presence developed by Zumthor (1993, 2005, 2010, 2014). The main contribution of this dissertation lies in the argument that the performative voice, as embodied by Celestino, constitutes a form of sensitive and communicational knowledge that challenges the paradigms of technical and disembodied rationality of modernity. It thus reclaims listening as a formative, symbolic, and affective experience. The study also highlights the importance of a pedagogy of voice and presence that values the sensitive dimension of the speaking body as a site of meaning, evocation, and encounter with the other.

This research investigates the relationships between performance, cinematic aesthetics, and the spectacularization of violence in Brazilian television crime journalism, focusing on the Sunday news magazine Domingo Espetacular, broadcast by Record TV. Its main objective is to analyze the construction of television images, particularly in crime reports, through the lens of cinematic language, based on the hypothesis that these narratives appropriate aesthetic and narrative procedures commonly associated with cinema. Methodologically, the study adopts film analysis grounded in the contributions of David Bordwell, combined with discussions on performance and television journalism, with particular attention to audiovisual elements such as lighting, framing, mise-en-scène, costume design, soundtrack, and editing. The analyses demonstrate that the program appropriates conventions traditionally associated with fiction cinema to create dramatic atmospheres, intensify emotional engagement, and enhance the affective impact of its narratives. The findings indicate that television crime journalism extends beyond its strictly informative function by employing aesthetic strategies that shape specific ways of seeing, feeling, and interpreting reality, thereby contributing to the construction of social imaginaries surrounding violence and to the legitimization of fear as a defining sensibility of contemporary society.

This research investigates the instauration of a crochet artwork in the public space of the city of Goiânia, Brazil, using this process as a basis for reflecting on the relationships between textile practices, digital cultures, and contemporary modes of art-making. The artwork is understood not as a finished object but as a relational process constituted through the interplay of materiality, body, space, institutions, and technical mediations. The methodology combines artistic research, through operative concepts, with interviews conducted with textile artists and the observation of crochet practices on digital social media, examining how knowledge and techniques circulate and are transformed in these environments. The study also compiles and systematizes an extensive qualitative corpus of these observations, presented in the appendices as an integral part of the research field. As crochet is displaced into public space and mediated by digital technologies, it ceases to function merely as a technique and becomes a language capable of reconfiguring modes of artistic production, circulation, and experience. The instauration of the artwork demonstrates that negotiations, disputes, and conditions inherent to public space—where political tensions operate as part of the relational process—actively participate in its constitution, configuring a network of relationships in which different mediations operate together.

Cidadania sob mediação digital: compulsoriedade infraestrutural, performance técnica e a genealogia do gov.br: identidade, performance e confinamento civil
(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2026-04-06) Almeida, Rodrigo Rodrigues Santos de; Silva, Wagner Bandeira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0309108869922063; Silva, Wagner Bandeira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0309108869922063; Oliveira, Flávio Gomes de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6251395246014220; Christino, Daniel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1395742383165403
This dissertation analyzes the institutional genealogy of the gov.br platform as a regime of compulsory state digital identity in Brazil, shifting the debate on digital government away from technocentric approaches that treat it as a mere administrative innovation. It starts from the hypothesis that gov.br constitutes a governmental apparatus that restructures the conditions of access to citizenship by turning the digital interface into a central instance of legal recognition and identity validation. The objective is to trace the discursive and normative transition that moves from the paradigm of “digital inclusion”, formulated in the Green Book of the Information Society (2000), toward a Platform-State model based on the centralization of the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF), the interoperability of databases, and the requirement of reiterated technical performances, especially through biometric authentication and trust seal systems. The research adopts a qualitative, documentary and normative approach, grounded in the critical analysis of decrees, ordinances, laws and terms of use that structure the gov.br ecosystem, taking the Digital Work and Social Security Card (CTPS Digital) as a privileged case study because of its historical, symbolic and political value. It concludes that gov.br does not operate as a neutral tool for accessing services, but as a sovereign infrastructure of digital mediation that institutes an infrastructural compulsion linked to the CPF, transfers administrative burdens to citizens and transforms the body into an instance of state authentication. The interface ceases to function as a mere technical medium and becomes the very territory of bureaucratic subjection and contemporary algorithmic governmentality.

This research aims to study the impacts, transformations, and influences on the aesthetic choices of artists who have political and civic engagement. Discussing the concepts of art, politics, and artivism in dialogue with cultural performances, I analyze the trajectory of the Goiânia-based musical group Vida Seca and its relationship with the ¿por quá? dance group, analyzing their artistic encounters that possess form and content that I consider political. To this end, I focused on two works that the groups developed together: the performance held on September 13, 2007, and later transformed into the short film Rua 57, Nº 60, Centro, and the urban intervention Por Acaso, tardes de improviso. The methodology of the work consists of analyzing the groups' actions based on the concept of artivism discussed in the works of Isaque Ribeiro and Alexandre Vilas Boas, making theoretical and practical approaches that can reveal how the aesthetic construction of the groups is shaped by their political actions. The conclusion is that both constructed what I called a politics of encounter, an art focused on community gatherings, prioritizing the creation, multiplication, and occupation of public spaces. Furthermore, the theoretical discussion fostered an artistic production of songs and poems that are presented in the final considerations and appendix.

The present study analyses the role of pedagogical practices that evoke ancestry and aspects of African culture in promoting the anti-racist struggle and in rescuing Black identities within the school context. The methodology adopted in this study follows a qualitative approach, characterized, in terms of objectives, by an exploratory investigation and, in terms of procedures, by documental and bibliographical research. The text develops from reflective movements and personal memories that, in the search for anti-racist praxis, seek, in their records of lived experiences, ways to make collective work visible as movements of resistance against racism. In light of the general objective of this study, it is relevant to highlight the central role of two laws: Law No. 10,639/2003 and Law No. 11,645/2008, within the context of pedagogical practices aimed at promoting racial equality, strengthening Black identities, and integrating the culture of Indigenous peoples, both of which are important milestones for the establishment of anti-racist pedagogies in the school environment. The implementation of contents related to Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous history and culture, as stipulated by this legislation, becomes a fundamental element in the effort to deconstruct structural racism within educational institutions. The discussion about the effectiveness of these laws in the daily life of schools, especially regarding the inclusion of Black identities as an integral part of the curriculum, emerges as a key point for confronting discrimination and for building a truly inclusive and emancipatory education, considering ethnic-racial diversity. The research is situated within the educational experiences of Black girls and boys who, when confronted with ethnic-racial conflicts present in everyday school life, often end up denying or silencing their own Black identities as a form of protection or as a strategy to be accepted by the groups of power present within the school environment. Furthermore, the research contributes to the anti-racist struggle through cultural performances involving the production of Abayomi Dolls, used as an arts teaching strategy at Colégio Estadual Alfredo Nasser, in Terezópolis de Goiás. The study highlights the tensions and conflicts experienced in everyday school life that guide racial and identity issues, seeking to indicate the importance of the school in educating for ethnic-racial relations through the positive construction of identity achieved by the students.

The increasing digitalization of urban life has consolidated the concept of smart cities, which has expanded into the tourism sector, giving rise to Smart Tourism Destinations (STDs), models that seek to integrate technological solutions, innovation, and visitor experience into local development. However, cultural and symbolic dimensions, particularly the role of institutions such as museums, remain marginalized in the main indices and evaluation models, occupying a peripheral position in relation to technocratic imperatives. In this context, the objective of this dissertation is to critically assess the role of museums as sociotechnical devices in the constitution of STDs, investigating how these institutions are recognized, integrated, or rendered invisible by hegemonic models. The methodological approach, qualitative, interpretive, and comparative in nature, included a systematic literature review (SPAR-4-SLR and PRISMA protocols), content analysis of international frameworks, the application of multicriteria AHP-TOPSIS methods to evaluate smart city indices, and documentary analysis of case studies. The results demonstrate that the technocratic rationality structuring smart city and smart destination models tends to marginalize the cultural dimension and render museums invisible as strategic agents of mediation and territorial intelligence, reproducing symbolic inequalities through algorithmic systems. It is concluded that, despite institutional omission, museums hold the potential to lead alternative forms of territorial intelligence, challenging instrumental logic and promoting more inclusive and culturally sensitive STD models, reaffirming that culture is a structural axis of a destination’s true intelligence.
