Resumo

The aim of the study was to evaluate environmental risks among workers of the nursing staff of primary health care in relation to the structure and work process through the compliance of the Brazilian guidelines. Descriptive, cross-sectional, observational study conducted in 2014 in units of primary health Goiania-Goias. 14 workers participated, of these, four nurses and ten nursing technicians. The Data collection was conducted during the months of October and November in 2014 at two different moments, the first by direct observation and the second through interviews, both for the professional work process in dressing rooms. Descriptive data analysis performed. It was found that 92.8% workers were female and 50% reported more than one job. In relation to preventive measures, 100% reported using the glove to make the dressing, 85.7% used mask and 78, 6% cap, apron, or disposable cloak. During the process of cleaning and disinfecting surfaces 92.9% workers were using the glove, mask 64.3% and 78, 6% cap, disposable apron or disposable cloak. Similar behavior was observed in the removal / transport of contaminated material from the dressing room to the purge. Comparing the variables of the worker to the use of adornments profile (average earrings) and the work process, the p value was significant for nursing technicians who performed the cleaning and disinfection of surfaces p = 0.033 and used rings; also during the processing of surfaces and the removal of contaminated material to the purge, with p = 0.027 involving both processes. When comparing the employee's profile and the use of adornments (small earring) the p value was significant for nurses, with p = 0.003 during the course of healing and the removal / transport of contaminated material to the purge and p = 0.026 for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces. In relation to ergonomics on the desktop organization, the level of illuminance of the rooms was 100%, but did not meet the guidelines recommendations. In relation to the noise level 100% of the workers was in accordance with the law. Considering the structure, 100% of the securities were not in compliance with the NR-17, however, only 14.3% of the seats were adjustable for height and 33.7% had armrests. Ergonomic risks by organizing and transporting the contaminated material between the dressing rooms and the purge were 92.9% lacked adequate support for transportation and improper posture of 78.6% workers. We also note that in 100% of cases these supports were improvised. In the presence of such non-conformities we believe that these may be related to mistaken knowledge of workers, combined with no perception of occupational hazards during the work process in the dressing rooms. This condition leads to low uptake of these workers to security measures, reflecting the low valuation of personal protective equipment and failure to follow ergonomic standards recommended by the legislation. The inclusion of content with emphasis on worker health and safety is necessary in the curriculum of educational institutions as a priority action.
