Resumo

Energy sources from agroforestry origin are an excellent alternative for be renewable and present great potential to charcoal production. The aim of this study was to evaluate the energy potential of biomass of bamboo and eucalyptus clonal hybrids as energy source through the evaluation of the characteristics of biomass and charcoal making. Culms mature of Bambusa tuldoides, Bambusa vulgaris var. vittata and Dendrocalamus asper and wooden clubs in different longitudinal positions (0, 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 m) trees of hybrid clone of Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus urophylla (GG100 and I144) with seven years were collected from plantations in the center region State of Goiás. The biomass of the species has been characterized (basic density, chemical immediate, gross calorific value and energy density) and was produced charcoal with heating rate of Approximate 1,67°C min-1, temperature 450°C final, remaining stable in temperature for last hum period 30 minutes later paragraph characterization (basic density, immediate analysis, calorific value, energy density and gravimetric income). Bamboo’s species had features energy similar or superiors in relation to Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus urophylla hybrid, accept to levels of volatile materials and ash, indicating the potential species Bambusa vulgaris vitatta, Dendrocalamus asper and Bambusa tuldoides for use as energy source. The basic density and energy from wood and charcoal suffered to clone effect, and larger in GG100 in relation by I144. Energy characteristics as wood and charcoal of eucalyptus clones influenced for the longitudinal position there is no trunk of trees except for a basic density and for the gravimetric yield. Positive correlations were detected between: (i) basic density and gravimetric income; (ii) energy density, basic density and calorific value; (iii) carbon content and gravimetric fixed income; (iv) energy density and calorific value of wood with charcoal making and (v) fixed carbon content to the calorific value of coal and negative between (i) content of volatile materials of heat charcoal with power; (ii) fixed carbon content in the wood and charcoal with any volatiles and as ashes.
