Resumo
This dissertation tries to discuss relations of inequalities present in urban interventions in contemporary cities. The ethnography carried out in the Jardim Botânico Occupation, a group of houses that arose more than 60 years ago to house families attracted by the construction of Goiânia, the first capital of Brazil planned in the twentieth century, through the anthropological look and participant camera, revealed memories of occupation and the relationship that people have with places. With the proposal of a Urban Operation Consortium in the region and the threat of eviction of the residents, ethnography was extended to public audiences, where cultural debate in social practice provided clues as to the asymmetric relations of power and knowledge among the actors involved. On the other hand, at parties, meetings held by the residents association and in the construction of residential complexes, it is a network of mutual help that characterizes social relations in occupation, where streets, sidewalks, trees, houses and yards gain meanings that blend with the history of the people, and the people with the history of the places.
