Resumo

This thesis is a study about the teaching and learning process-involving students with intellectual disabilities from a public local school in Goiânia, Goiás in ​​Natural Sciences, subject Biology, content Genetics. The guiding problem of the investigation is presented in what are the characteristics of the teaching mediation of the basic concepts of Genetics for students with intellectual disabilities. The goal of the research was to verify how the basic concepts of Genetics are being applied to students with intellectual disabilities from a 3rd grade high school class from a public local school in Goiânia to present contents and strategies in teaching at area of special education and science of continuing education of teachers, by means of notebook pedagogical. The study is based mainly on socio-historical theory, which has Vygotsky as one of the main representatives and, in the conception of open, dynamic, flexible and dialogical curriculum studied by Capellini; Fonseca; Júnior, Freire, Mantoan, Paganelli and in official documents of federal and state bodies. In order to elucidate the theoretical connections of Science teaching, discipline Biology, Genetic content to socio-historical theory and to a curriculum as a possibility of learning and development for all students, we present the discussions of Pozo, Crespo and Cachapuz; Praia; Jorge. The work was developed in a qualitative approach, in the form of a case study and was based on the experience of a third grade high school class from a public local school in Goiânia, and had the participation of the teacher of Biology, of professionals in the network to support the inclusion of the Secretaria Estadual de Educação Cultura e Esporte - GO and three students with intellectual disabilities. As an educational product of this study, the construction, organization and production of an notebook pedagogical which is set up in a collection of texts aimed at providing teachers with studies, reflections and subsidies special education and science education. The analysis of this experience showed, on the one hand, the need for investment in continuing education in the area of ​​Science / Biology and Special Education Teaching, since there are still many difficulties and limits for the learning of students with intellectual disabilities, and, on the other, that the mediation of academic contents for these students is possible, through a curriculum that meets their needs and potentialities.
