Resumo

The present work had as objective to understand if the mathematical strategic games aid in the learning of the concepts of multiplication table and numerical expressions. The games used were 'Game Multiplicative', 'Contig 60 ®' and 'Pebbles', where the first and third work the concept of multiplication table and the second one of numerical expressions. The project was applied in initial and final classes of Elementary School II Phase, 6th year of a municipal school and 9th year of a state college in the city of Goiânia, Goiás. The methodology used was a qualitative research-action research that had as instruments observation, field notes, application of diagnostic questionnaire, application of games in the classroom and reapplication of the diagnostic questionnaire. The application and reapplication had the intention of comparing possible improvements in the content coming from the use of the games in the classes. The strategic game is an important tool in the pedagogical practice of the mathematics teacher, assisting in the construction of multiplication tables and numerical expressions, and developing in the student aspects such as cooperativism, creativity and socialization.
