Movimento escoteiro e educação não formal: o uso de atividade de experimentação química em um acampamento escoteiro

Abstract

The present work intends to discuss some aspects about the use of games and play activities in a non-formal education environment, the scout movement. It presents a brief history about the history of Scouting in the world and brazilian scene, as well as its principles and its scout method. It addresses the definitions of formal, informal and non-formal education, characterizing them according to authors of the area, aiming to show that the activity of experimentation can be used in a space of non-formal education. This research is characterized by a qualitative approach based on a case study and observed the various possibilities of using experimental activities within the environment of non-formal education, scout movement, as a possibility to work on chemical concepts from games and play activities.
