Relação entre componentes do corpo vazio e rendimentos de carcaça de novilhos de corte

Resumo

The objective of the experiment was to evaluate the relation among various components of the non body parts integrant of carcass with hot (HDP) and cold (CDP) dressing percentages expressed in relation to slaughter (SW) or empty body weight (EBW), of beef steers. Twenty four Charolais x Nellore crossbreeds steers, feedlot finished, were used. Neither empty body component, nor the whole of components showed significant relation with HDP and CDP when adjusted for SW. When evaluated in relation to EBW, the HDP was positively correlated with heart (r= .41) and negatively with internal fats: inguinal (r=- .62), kidney (r=- .48), trim (r=- .51) and ruminal+intestinal (r=- .57). And CDP showed positive relation with head (r= .42), heart (r= .45) and omasum (r= .49), and negative with rawhide (r=- .45), abomasum (r=- .52) and internal fats: inguinal (r=- .46), kidney (r=- .43), trim (r=- .68) and ruminal+intestinal (r=- .72). For the wholes of components, only internal fats were significantly correlated with HDP (r=- .68) and CDP (r=- .76) in relation to EBW. Significant correlation was verified between the wholes of internal fats with external components (r= .50) and between the wholes of empty digestive tract with vital organs (r= .74).
