Inoculação experimental de Salmonella enteritidis fagotipo 4, via oral em pintos de corte de um dia da linhagem gris barre cou plumé

Resumo

This study evaluated the effects of Salmonella Enteritidis PT4 (SE PT4) strain in chicks Gris Barre Cou Plum, a day old. The design was randomized, which used 120 chicks, which were allotted to two treatments, control groups and inoculated. The chicks were inoculated directly into ingluvial with 0.5 mL of sterile saline 0.85% containing 5.0 x 102 CFU / mL of Salmonella Enteritidis PT4. On day seven, 14 and 21 were analyzed in terms of performance and one bird per treatment was necropsied and collected esophagus and crop, intestines, pancreas, liver, yolk sac, heart and spleen and cecum biometric analysis, swabs from crop and yolk sac for microbiology. It was found that the group challenged with Salmonella Enteritidis demonstrated higher mortality and that all birds necropsied were positive for at least one of the three organs were submitted to microbiological analysis. It was also an increase in relative liver weight at seven days and the weight gain and feed conversion was worse for the group inoculated. Can infer that the bacterium was able to invade the bodies of birds, to determine mortality and promote negative changes in performance parameters.
