Resumo
The study aims the vertebral formula of two adult male specimens of armadillo
(Dasypus novencinctus) belonging to the collection of anatomical museum at Unesp,
Jaboticabal. The vertebrae were chemical macerated and were counted, manually, by
vertebral segment (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral and caudal). It was concluded that
the tatu-galinha has 07 cervical vertebrae, 15 thoracic vertebrae, 04 lumbar, 05 sacral
and caudal vertebral segment is composed of 11 vertebrae.
