Tumores de células redondas em cães: aspectos gerais e marcadores imunoistoquímicos

Resumo

Oncology, in recent years, is behaving as one of the major areas of importance in veterinary medicine due to increased cancer sample in dogs as well as increase in mortality due to this cause. Among the neoplastic processes, round cells tumors stand out for being frequent and difficulty of differentiate them. Also, it’s important to have more effective techniques to provide this differentiation. In this context, the immunohistochemistry (IHC) is presented as a powerful and accurate tool to tumor evaluation. Thus, in view of the large number of tumor cases of round cells tumors in dogs and challenges as the cyto-histomorphological classification of them, especially when undifferentiated, the aim here is to present literature review with respect to general aspects of round cells tumors in dogs, especially of cutaneous involvement, and review the immunohistochemical markers used to differentiate them.
