Resumo
This article discusses the importance of the Indigenous Knowledge in the
School initiative for the Akwẽ Xerente people, in order to broaden the
research on the sociocultural and linguistic aspects of these people, as well
as their impact on the development of an indigenous education based on
the reality and characteristics of each Ethnicity. It also presents the findings
of a research on the social life cycle of the Akwẽ Xerente child.
