Resumo
It was evaluated the performance of Nile tilápia fed with diets containing
mesquite hulls meal (MHM) in corn replacement. The diets were formulated to
present the same level of protein (30% CP) and energy (3100 kcal/DE/kg
ration) in which the ingredient-test replace part of the energetic ingredient
(corn) in inclusion levels of 0, 50, 75 and 100%. It was used 60 fries of Nile
tilapia with initial weight of 3,50± 0,05g, distributed in 20 polyethylene
aquaria, which one with a total capacity of 70L in a recirculating system with
constant aeration and inside biofilter. The variables studied were weight gain
(WG), feed conversion (FC) and fillet income (FI). This byproduct was
evaluated in a completely randomized blocks experiment with four treatments
and five replications in a experimental period of 90 days. It was seen that the
MHM can replace the corn in 75%, without affecting the animal performance in
diets for Nile tilapia.
