Resumo
This paper aims to
elaborate, to make and to apply a board, cards, and dice game to facilitate the learning of Molecular Geometry concepts. After the elaboration of the game,
based on the concepts of the Computational Theory of Mind, it was applied in two first grade classes of a public state high school. The game was used as either
a Didactic Game or a Pedagogical Game. Data were collected using qualitative methods such as audio and video recording and notes in a field diary. Such
data were studied by means of Content Analysis. From the activities developed, it was possible to realize that games based on the Computational Theory of
Mind have a great potential to facilitate the learning of subjects studied in Chemistry classes. In this theory, games can be developed in a way that it contains,
in their scope, a lot of information that help the student’s mental structure to build knowledge. For the Computational Theory of Mind, the more information
the subject receives, the better the responses to solve a problem or an inquiry.
