Resumo
Accounting is embedded in the global context as a primary tool in fostering information.
Therefore, it is necessary for the training of professionals in this area has sufficient
dimensions to encompass not only the demand for scientific and technical knowledge, as well
as the ability to perceive the changes of scenarios and adapt to new realities involving the
placement process and decision making. Therefore, all attention is critical to higher education
in this area, in order to quality education, training of teachers, and identification of errors to
improve education. With this last point, we have applied the tests to students, such as the
National Examination of Student Performance (ENADE), in order to get the results of the
students understand what influenced this performance and try to improve. Thus, this work
aims to relate the profile of teachers of courses in Accounting in the Brazilian federal
universities with notes ENADE 2012. Therefore, a search of federal universities in Brazil was
carried out a search of the list of teachers, curriculum analysis Lattes, search the list of Notes
of 2012 and ENADE association between the results. Through the instrument of multiple
linear regression analysis, the results show that some characteristics of the teaching
accounting course the federal universities are able to influence the note ENADE an average of
4%. Regarding the characteristics of teachers used in the research, initial training in
Accounting, titration of specialization and gender showed significant explanation for the note
ENADE 2012.
