6 será from ten patients known to be Calazar, confirmed parasitologically were studied progressively by the reaction of indirect immunofluore&- cence, in our experíment we used four types of antigens: homologous antigen and heterologous antigens: "Leptomonas" pessoaí, Leishmanla brasiliensis and Leishmanla mexfcana. We used one hundred será of various diseases, such us: South American Blastomycosis, Chagas dísease and Pemphigus as witness, 20 será of each. Será of 39 patienís of tegumentar leishmaniasis were studied with the antigens of L. brasílicos!s, L. donovani and "Lcptomonav' pessoal. The false positive reactions (titer over 20) occurred only with antigen of L. donovani in the witness groups. The homologous antigen showed itself to be more specifíc, as well as it detected the higer titers. During the study of the disease there were a progressive fali in antibodies but never the total disappearance of the same.
