Neglected diseases occur by infectious agents or parasites and are considered endemic in
populations of underdeveloped economy. The impact of neglected diseases affecting the world incisively,
and Brazil is one of the countries that suffers most from the neglect of these diseases. In Brazil, they are
listed more: leishmaniasis, malaria, dengue, Chagas disease, leprosy, and tuberculosis. Control measures
have been adopted there, in some countries, reducing the incidence of some diseases while others remain
unchanged with frame. The combat is not very effective for the government, since they affect populations of
less political weight. It is known that since 2010 the World Health Organization has been studying these
diseases and outlines strategies for action to combat, seeking control of some and the eradication of other
using vaccination campaigns, health programs and public awareness, chemoprophylaxis, intensification early
fighting disease, vector control, improvement of health and health policy conditions in veterinary medicine
to combat zoonoses. Concludes therefore that in areas where we find social inequities and poverty, we
encounter the ideal conditions for incidence of neglected diseases due to poor sanitation inappropriate
drinking water and poor access to investment in facilities for treatment and early diagnosis of diseases in
study.
